To Infinity and Beyond : Anargya, an Aspiring Independent EV Team from Indonesia

Team Profile

Anargya is a student racing team from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology who focuses on building and developing innovative electric cars in terms of technology and the future of automotive racing. Anargya has always been a strong competitor in the Japan Formula SAE competition, in 2019 Anargya reached the 10th Best Electrical Car. In 2022 Anargya achieved several awards from FSEV such as: Best EV Team for Overal Score From Indonesian, top 2 Teams for Overall Event, Top 2 EV Teams for Management Team, Top 3 EV Teams for Software and Intelligence Integration, Top 2 EV Team’s for Engineering Design Concept, and many more. In 2023 Anargya aims for multiple awards on an international scale such as for participating in FSAE Japan and FSAE Australia.

Anargya's Journey and Mark 2.0 Specification

Anargya has gone through a long journey in its development, such as participating in PLN ICE, FSEV Bharat, and various other competitions. This year (2023) Anargya is aiming to take part in FSAE Japan by bringing a Mark 2.0 car to be included in a prestigious competition on a global scale.

Power Distribution Module

Formula student EV car has many systems, sensors, and actuators that need to be supplied and distributed by paralleling the connection due to some systems which have no internal overcurrent protection for its supply, the fuse needs to be installed for its supply connection. Therefore, Anargya's Power Distribution Mode board consists of 12V supply parallel connections and being protected with fuses which is adjusted based on each system tripped current parameter.

Brake System Plausibility Device and Shutdown System

Formula Student EV Car was supplied with a high voltage that makes the car has a high severity rating from a fault of its system. Thereby, safety systems need to be implemented to prevent the risk of fault. According to this matter, Anargya implemented a System Plausibility Device that was implemented to check the plausibility of the brake system by analyzing the brake and power sensor in order to determine the fault through the analog logic circuit.

Monitoring and Telemetry

Anargya's EV monitoring system by processing sensors output into readable datas such as: wheel RPM, High Voltage battery and Auxiliary battery State of Charge, High Voltage battery Temperature and Motor Temperature which are necessary for car safety and performance analysis. These datas was displayed on the digital dashboard and transmitted to the team's paddock through Radio Frequency.

RF Transmitter

The data from Monitoring and Telemetry Board is transmitted through RF Board. The board is positioned on our car so Radio Frequency Signal can connect to the receiver device.

Tractive System Active Light

High voltage status needs to be known by drivers and mechanics who work on the car. Because of this we give a light above the car with a green light indicator when the high voltage is off and red when the high voltage is on to prevent hazard that can occur at any time.

Words to PCBWay

Support from PCBWay would be an enormous advantage to our team. As a team from university, we design many parts that never quite make it to the final because of the very tight cost and budget here in Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Indonesia. These services will greatly assist the research of our team engineers and also contribute to the development of Formula EV Mark 2.0.
