Mark 4.0 Road To FSAE Japan 2024

About the team

Anargya ITS EV Team is a student automotive team from Sepuluh November Institute of Technology Surabaya that focuses on research and development of electric vehicle technology.  Anargya ITS EV Team is one of the teams from Indonesia and ASEAN that participated in the Formula SAE Japan event in the EV category in 2023. And soon Anargya will participate in the FSAE Japan 2024 competition, an international formula student car manufacturing competition attended by teams from all over the world which will be held in Aichi Sky Expo, Japan in September 2024. 


Anargya ITS EV Team has achieved several outstanding national and international achievements such as Runner up of Jakarta E-Prix 2022: Sustainable World EV Design Competition with FARATZ EV, First Place of PLC Innovation & Creativity in Electricity 2022 with Thevin EV, First Place of Overall Event in FSEV Bharat 2023, Second Place of Procurement Strategy in FSEV Bharat 2023, First Place of Team Management Strategy in FSEV Bharat 2023, First Place of Engineering Design Event in FSEV Bharat 2023, Third Place in Event Presentation FSAE Japan 2023, Third Place in Three View Drawing FSAE Japan 2023.


Not only a competition, but Anargya also has a vision to develop the EV ecosystem. Build and develop the technology of electrical, research, youth development and resource of engineer. With the development of the EV world and its ecosystem, we are increasingly confident that with this, young people will be more enthusiastic in developing EV. Currently electric cars have begun to be used by the public and have various reasons why they want to use electric cars, one of which is their environmental friendliness. In engineering education, having both technical and non-technical skills is a must. Understanding the environment and surrounding conditions will form a sharper "engineer sense" as well. Problem solving skills in every condition, will be the key to renewal and improvement. Therefore, it is important for us to have our own focus for the development of engineering science in our surroundings.

Currently the Anargya ITS EV Team is focusing on manufacturing the latest generation Mark 4.0 formula car which will be used in the Formula SAE Japan 2024 event. Several improvements will be made to the latest generation Anargya Mark 4.0 car such as improvements to the chassis, motor, battery, and maximum speed. These improvements are not just about changing the name and increasing the speed of the car. But how can our car survive through the several stages that will be passed at the FSAE Japan event later. 


In Mark 1.0 we used a monocoque chassis. In Mark 2.0 and Mark 3.0 we changed our chassis to use tubular for durability and strength of our car when maneuvering in the FSAE Japan competition. We also made improvements to the motor and battery to achieve maximum acceleration and top speed.

Our circuit boards 

Some of the parts we use in Anargya are customized, including our own circuit modules, which aim to maintain size and weight so that the load on our car remains light and benefits our acceleration and top speed.


Tractive System Active Light 

A system to detect the presence of high voltage. If the system detects it, it will send a signal to activate a red led and work by flashing 2-5 Hz.



Electronic Throttle

A system that measures the gas pedal to send a signal to the motor controller. Where this signal is used to adjust the motor speed.



Shutdown Circuit 

Safety in an electric car is very necessary, just like a switch to turn off a light. The Shutdown Circuit system works when certain failures occur and will turn off the tractive system of the electric vehicle.



Data Acquisition

A system that sends a certain amount of information from the vehicle to be transmitted through a transmitter to a computer for archiving or analysis purposes.




Support from PCBWay we believe our goals in FSAE competition will reached and our vision to spread electrical technology education. We design many parts that never quite make it to the final product because of challenges of sourcing and manufacturing parts on time and on budget here in Surabaya, Indonesia. Having the ability to quiclky prototype boards means that more members of the team will get valuable design experience and feedback to continually expand their skills not just for the Mark 4.0, but our other projects in Anargya
