GPIO PwBox (1.00 ) - An I2C MosFET power driver interface for SBC
This simple power driver is used as "actuator module" of an IoT automotive project developed for heavy veichles like tank trucks.
The main IoT device, for which this "actuator module" was created, was composed by three other modules:
.A "sensing module" that use presssure sensors to measure tank weight and monitoring the load/unload pipeline process to/from tank.
.A "communication module" which have GPS reference and IoT software to communicate data to cloud.
.An "SBC module" which is a powerful Raspberry PI.
Actually this "actuator module" can drives up to eight 24V/0.5A pneumatic valves connected to tank on board pipelines, the remaining 8 GPIO of
the chip are reserved for the next release of this board that will have ancillary components to check the failure status of every single valves.
In order to make this "actuator" fully scalable and easily deployable also in non automotive projects I have opted for an I2C interface that
make free the "module" to be used in all sorts of IoT projects.
Please consider this "module" as a "nightly build" outcome ... Yes, it can made better, but at moment perform correctly its main goal in a very good manner.
