6530 to 6532 (RRIOT to RIOT) adapter for IEEE disk drives
Tested and working in a SFD 1001 floppy drive.
This project is a remake of Ruud Baltissen's 6530 Replacement. http://www.baltissen.org/newhtm/6530repl.htm Please check Ruud's site for schematic details and circuit theory.
The 6530 RRIOT (Rom Ram IO Timer) is used in many of Commodore's IEEE-488 disk drives, but replacement parts are rare & expensive enough to be considered unobtainable. So this daughter board allows a more available 6532 RIOT (RAM IO Timer) to be used in its place.
Parts:
6532 (MOS, Rockwell etc) Qty 1
74LS02. Qty 1
100nF decoupling capacitor Qty 2
EPROM (2716, 2732 etc) Qty 1
40 Pin DIP header (turned pin kind) Qty 1
IC Sockets as required
