Robeartics Team: Bearing

About the Team:

Robeartics is a robotics team from Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute in Scarborough, Ontario. Our members range from grades 10- 12 and we work together to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge.

The team name, Robeartics, is a combination of two of our most valuable; robotics and bears. We chose to include the word bear in our name because that animal symbolizes strength, a trait that our team utilizes continuously. We collaboratively use our strengths to cover for each other's' weaknesses.

As individuals deriving from diverse backgrounds, we invest our time and commitment to nurturing our passion for the field of robotics.

Because of this, our primary objective is to spread the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to a wider audience, with the goal of igniting their possible interest in the realms of STEM and robotics.

Our of the current project, "Bearing", consists of the team's entry in this year's First Tech Challenge, FTC. Our team has seen significant success in our time competing, placing in 2nd place Think Award, 3rd place in Think Award, winning Alliance Captain at qualifiers, and placed Top 10 at Provincials. The competition challenged the team to design, build, and launch a rocket that could reach a specific altitude and carry a payload. Despite fierce competition, the team demonstrated their skills and determination, earning recognition for our achievements.

The two images above are currently our work in progress to building our robot, Bearing.

We appreciate any support we can receive. PCBWay's support would enable us to develop more efficient and effective robotic technology and inspire the next generation of space enthusiasts. We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with PCBWay and achieve our goals through their support.
