I use a nodeMCU on a solderless breadboard, connected to a simple 3 pin RF transmitter that has an antenna soldered on to it.

...am thinking about using it to make my project more perminent. I saw in videos that the 3rd (outside) row of pins is used for expandability of the board; would that outer row be where I put my transmitter? If so, How do I connect the three pins I use to the appropriate locations on the NodeMCU? Would I have to solder wires on the bottom of the protoboard?
