Supermileage Ecar Motor Controller

DESCRIPTION

My name is Erik Alvarado and I am a member of the Cal Poly Supermileage Vehicle Club. Every year, the club takes an internal combustion engine vehicle to the Shell Eco Marathon where we compete with schools all over North America and are ranked on efficiency. his year,we are hoping to make our first ever electric vehicle! We need to make a custom motor controller and need a PCB.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

We are in our third revision of the custom motor controller and have fixed the issues with the previous boards. We are still usign a TI launchpad along with the DRV8301 to drive the high and low side MOSFETs. The MOSFETs have a low Rds(on) to reduce power losses during switching. We are using op amps for the current feedback circuits which are needed by the software for sensorless control.
